It nestles in a small, tranquil hamlet called Hodley, mid way between Newtown, Welshpool and Montgomery and is approached from a quiet country lane. The Villages of Kerry and Abermule are three miles away and both have pub restaurants and village shops. Surrounded by beautiful Mid Wales countryside, Holly Cottage is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing holiday and is ideal for exploring the many attractions of Mid Wales including Powis Castle National Trust at Welshpool and the attractive town of Montgomery with its great places to eat, castle ruins and lovely views.
There is plenty to do in this beautiful part of Mid Wales including cycling, golf, horse riding, shooting, fishing, castles and steam trains. Nearby are Lake Vyrnwy, Llyn Clywedog and Elan Valley Lakes which offer spectacular walking and views across the countryside of Wales. There are walks from the door step as well as easy access to well known walks such as Offas' Dyke, Glyndwrs' Way and Kerry Ridgeway. Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia and the Cardigan Bay beaches of Aberystwyth with Aberdyfi and Borth are easy day trip. Conveniently located for the Cefn Lea conference centre.
